Third Thursday in January: FREE DEMO: "Homemade Paper Mixed Media Collage"

Join Heidi Contreras this Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 as she demonstrates how to turn those paper scraps into home made paper! She will also show you how to transform the resulting textured paper into an amazing mixed media collage. The class is free and fun!

CHRISTMAS PARTY AT THE GALLERY

This is becoming such a fun event. We began by inviting ten artists (in addition to our co-op arists) to contribute small works of art for this occasion and were amazed by the beautiful things that came in. Our Christmas Celebration party is this Thursday, December 3, starting at 6:30. Friends, family, customers, everyone has been invited....and, so are you. Come and have a glass of champagne with us and nibble on marvelous, tasty, scrumptious chocolate creations.
You will find special gifts for those special people on your list. We have gift items starting at $4.
There are hand made ornaments.....each a piece of art, cards, christmas jewelry, dichroic glass pieces, pottery, small paintings, and many other items. We hope you will be here....we are saving some chocolate for you.

Julie Miller to be Featured at the Oklahoma State Capitol

The artists of Water Street are thrilled to know that one of their own, Julie Miller will be featured in the Governor's Gallery at the Oklahoma State Capitol from February 8 - April 4, 2010.

The Oklahoma Arts Council maintains three galleries inside the Oklahoma State Capitol. The East and North Galleries are located on the first floor and are accessible seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Governor's Gallery is located on the second floor of the Capitol and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information please visit the Oklahoma Arts Council's website: www.arts.ok.gov

Water Street Art Gallery - 6 x 6 Art Show & Sale - Opening Night

Just wanted to let folks know about a cool opportunity to see and purchase original art at an amazing price starting tonight! Water Street Art Gallery in Sapulpa, Oklahoma is hosting their first "6x6 Art Show" tonight, June 4 from 6-9 p.m. It will continue through June 20. Choose from nearly 100 little 6x6" original paintings by some of Oklahoma's finest artists at $66 each! 25% of the proceeds will benefit the Sapulpa Community Food Bank.

Here's a sampling of some of what you'll see. Trust me, these will go fast! If you can't make it tonight, stop by Saturday during Sapulpa's annual Route 66 BlowOut...there will be lots of fun all around.

Water Street Art Gallery Open For Business

How excited we are to announce that as of today, Water Street Art Gallery is officially open for business! Lots of work has gone into getting the gallery and classroom ready and how proud we are of the results of everyone's hard work.

Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. with open studio on Thursday evenings.

Water Street Gallery - Six by Six on Route 66 Art Show

Water Street Gallery proudly announces its first annual Six by Six on Route 66 Blow Out Art Show. The exhibit will hang June 4th through June 20th, 2009. This event is timed to coincide with the one day Sapulpa's Route 66 Blowout Art Show on June 6, 2009. Combined with the Route 66 car show, this event brings thousands of people to Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

A reception will be held Thursday, June 4, 2009 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Gallery located at 16 South Water Street, Sapulpa, Oklahoma 918-227-2009. (Map)

Each six by six will sell for $66. One half of the proceeds will be paid to the artist, one fourth to the gallery for overhead, and one fourth to charity.

Artists may pick up one free canvas at Water Street Gallery beginning April 1, 2009. You may also use your own 6 x 6 x 1.5" deep canvas.

Finished canvases should be returned by May 27, 2009. Your work must be signed, have wire hangers and contact information affixed to the back.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday

Water Street Gallery - Opens

Mid-March, 2009 marks the opening of Northeast Oklahoma's newest fine art gallery located just off Route 66 in the heart Sapulpa's Art District at 16 S. Water Street. Water Street Art Gallery will feature original fine art by several Oklahoma artists. Original fine art paintings, ceramics and jewelry will be on display for purchase. Throughout the year opening night events are planned.

A special feature of the gallery will be art instruction classes on a variety of topics. Be sure to check back regularly for class schedules.
